YOUTH AND CIVIL INITIATIVES

  Payment of second-semester tuition fee to Ivelina Dobreva - undergraduate in the “Industrial Management” speciality of the Rousse University “Angel Kunchev”. Ivelina participated in a number of initiatives such as “Family Culture - Bridges across Generations” of the Open Society Club - Rousse and SAGE; she is a member of School Association SAGE and participated actively in the Association’s projects: “The Family - a Harmony of Opposites”, “PACE - Peaceful Alternatives to Conflicts through Education”, “The Road of the Personality to the Limitless Possibilities”, “The Art of UNESCO Synergy” - International Discussion Forum for Teachers and Students from European ASPnet Schools – Rousse ’02, held under the aegis of UNESCO; winner of first prize in the competition “With Song and Speech agains Drugs”,organised by the Inspectorate of Education - Rousse.
  Award to Bilyana Tsvetkova - student in the 11th grade of the English Language School - Rousse, for achievements in different fields of art and social activities. Bilyana is a versatile person - she plays volleyball, does athletics and martial arts, paints, writes poetry and prose in Bulgarian and in English. She is a member of School Association SAGE, the Bulgarian Red Cross, “Debates” club of the English Language School and participates actively in the initiatives of all those organisations. Bilyana is a winner of regional and national competitions in martial arts - holder of 4th degree /second blue belt/, first-prize winner in a plain-air “For a Better Environment”, participant in international art competitions in Macedonia, India and the Czech Republic, active participant in UNESCO ASPnet pilot projects: “The Blue Danube” Passau, Germany - 2000, “Family and Speech” 2001 with an essay published in “Conflicts in Civil Society” 2001-2002. Bilyana is editor and contributor with paintings, essays, poetry, prose, cartoons in the school newspaper “Teenspirit” and “Taraleji” newspaper, participant in the Second International Art Camp in Tugovishte - 2001, “The Art of UNESCO Synergy” - International Discussion Forum for Teachers and Students from European ASPnet Schools - Rousse ’02, held under the aegis of UNESCO; Youth Exchange between the Dutch and Bulgarian Red Cross.
  Payment of participation expenses to Maria Kovatcheva for a Summer Educational Camp for Debates in Tavros, Greece. She is a student in the 9th grade of the Vocational School of Economics - Rousse, winner of second and third prizes in the competition “Aurora Borealis” - Rousse, 2001 and 2002, two third prizes in the competition “Young Talents” - Rousse, participant in the National Students’ Model UN “UNIDO - Simulation Game for Development” organised by the UN Society in Bulgaria, member of the Bulgarian Youth Red Cross - Rousse.
