  Annual grant to Pavel Belchev - under-graduate in the American University in Blagoevgrad, speciality “Computer Sciences”, second-year grantee of the Foundation. Achievements for 2002 - Pavel has been champion of computer linguistics, lecturer in a seminar in mathematical and computer linguistics - Bansko; member of the editorial board of the magazine “Mathematical and Computer Linguistics” and author of articles published there, lecturer and panel member in the mathematical linguistics competition in Stara Zagora, leader of the Bulgarian national team, participant in the traditional Moscow Olympiad in mathematical linguistics - Russia with one first prize and one second prize in different age groups; member of the Board of the non-governmental organisation “Evrointellect”.
  Payment of the English examination fee /TOEFL/ to Momchil Kiurkchiev - student in the 12th grade of the English Language School “Geo Milev” - Rousse, winner of 28 prizes in mathematics, informatics, chemistry, physics, English. Achievements for 2002 - first prize at the Regional Olympiad in Mathematics and third prize at the regional round in informatics; participant and school representative in the International Forum under the aegis of UNESCO “The Art of Synergy”, organised by School Association SAGE.
  Payment of the participation fee of Delian Pavlov for the XXXIV International Olympiad in Chemistry held in July 2002 in Holland. Delian is a student in the 12th grade in the School of Mathematics “Baba Tonka”, participant in all regional olympiads in chemistry with first prizes; at the Republican Olympiad in Chemistry in 2001 and 2002 he got first and third places respectively; member of the national team of chemistry, distinguished at the International Olympiad in Holland.
  Purchase of textbooks and specialised literature to Alexander Velikov - sophomore in the “Luis de Grand” Lyceum in Paris, speciality Mathematics and Physics, second-year grantee of the Foundation.
  Payment of the annual fee for courses in informatics and provision of equipment, payment of participation expenses for the Summer Research School - Albena’02 to Georgi Kudrev - student in the 12th grade in the School of Mathematics “Baba Tonka”. Georgi participated in the National Tournament of Informatics in Plovdiv - 2002, in the students’ sessions of the 30th and 31st Spring Conferences of the Union of Mathematicians, Bulgaria, held in Borovets in 2001 and 2002 with reports in the field of deformation and analysis of computer images via the project “Easy Morphing”; participated in the Students’ Conference held in Sofia’02; double winner of the Competition in Mathematics and Informatics organised by his school; particpated in the National Spring Tournament in Informatics held in Blagoev-grad’98 as well as the Summer Research School of the Students’ Institute of Mathe-matics and Informatics - Albena’02; winner of third place in the Winter Mathematics Competitions, Varna - Bourgas‘99; nominated for an interview for the Research Science Institute, Sofia 2002; holder of first degree /yellow belt/ in karate; Georgi developed the “Easy Morphing” project, dealing with computer application related to the creation of computer graphics, anima-tion and geometrical transformations. Georgi was distinguished at the National Autumn Tournament in Informatics, and subse-quently he was admitted to the Shumen University without admission examinations.
  Annual grant to Tihomir Marinov - student in the 7th grade in the School of Mathematics “Baba Tonka”, winner of 23 prizes at regional and national competitions in mathe-matics and informatics, holder of 4th place in the National Autumn Tournament in Informatics - Shumen 2002.
  Payment of participation expenses to Angel Topalov - student in the 12th grade in the School of Mathematics “Baba Tonka” for the XV International Tournament of Young Physicists held in Odessa, the Ukraine - May 2002. Angel participated in the municipal, regional and national competitions in physics with prizes, third place at the national rounds in Pleven - 2000, Veliko Turnovo - 2001 and Shumen - 2002, distinctions at the National Tournament in Physics in Shumen’02 as a result of which he was chosen captain of the Bulgarian National Team. His excellent performance in the Olympiad in Veliko Turnovo secured him the right to study in all physics specialities on the Plovdiv University “Paisij Hilendarski”.
  Grant to Svetla Marinova - student in the 9th grade in the School of Mathematics “Baba Tonka”. Second-year grantee of the Foun-dation, participant in the “Summer Children’s Academy” - the “Computer Linguistics” Classroom, winner of second place in the Eleventh Mathematics Tournament “Chernorizets Hrabur”, regional level, Rousse.
